Deeper Smart Sonar App Reviews

The connection issue is tough. Have to constantly go back and forth between settings and the app. Also cant seem to connect wifi part? So it once but havent seen it since. Mind you, Ive only tried the device 4 times.

The new version of the app with detailed imaging is great, placement of critical controls like sensitivity and detail are perfect. Its also allot more stable for my iPhone. Great job.

Really good for fishing with the deeper sonar, but my iphone keeps on disconnecting and is hard to reconnect when the sonar is only 5-6 meters away

Was one of the first when ordered Deeper, but finally received it one of the last... few days back. Tested on the river. Device is great of itself, but often looses connection (Deeper team, improve the software!). Real Working distance not more then 20m out of 50m announced, unfortunately! It shows fish, yeah, cool!:) Anyway - it is best out of few common items on the market available today. Not a bad start, guys, but there is a field to improve and develop!

The app looks great but I think moon calendar is wrong making it a 3! When I go this week it better be correct what it says!

This app is terrible. Needs updating. I can hardly use the $200 fish finder I bought

The app is great however I order to preserve battery life could you make the brightness user adjustable? As soon as the app comes up the brightness shoots to full. This is also needed for night fishing as you would not need such a bright display. Thank you

First time out and the app froze when I started playing with the setting on the left side, strength, fish on or off. I restarted my phone and it worked good the rest of the day but I never played with the setting again. It wound be nice if you could add something we can turn on to get a notice every two months that we need to charge our battery.

Works great for the most part but occasionally locks up and you need to shut down the app. Im sure they will work out the bugs. Happy I bought it.

Deeper apparently no longer supplies car and desk top chargers they say they do in their older ads and YouTube videos. Some have said they did this to lower the price, but they have not confirmed this. In fact the " Safe usage and regulations " pamphlet enclosed with the unit says, "Only use the charger provided with Deeper." Tell us it is ok to use any charger without voiding the warranty ,give us a charger, or tell us ,what kind to use. There are no printed instructions enclosed other than a " quick guide." You are told to see user manual 2.2 or 2.3, with no link to them. Why cant we find everything in the box ? Just tried to set it up. My iPhone says it is connected, but the deeper app says Bluetooth connection lost....6 feet away. The brief printed instructions make no sense."ios users (only) have to connect to the device after it has been paired with the smartphone." What on earth does that mean? Pairing and connecting are the same thing. I now have a $200 paperweight.No response from customer help yet.

I use this with my iPhone 5s and iPad 2 both updated and un-jailbroken. The Deeper will connect to my iPhone, but constantly looses connection. It will not connect to my iPad at all. I fish lakes and inlets where waves are minimal so that isnt the issue. The Deeper just isnt very connectable. I havent caught anything using it, yet.

It is AMAZING how descriptive and detailed this product is, its super easy to use and puts you right on top of the fish! However :( It losing connection ALOT! I have to hold my iPhone 5s a certain way for the deeper to work. Even still, numerous times it loses connection and I have to reel it all the way back in and reset it/reconnect to the blue tooth again. I fish in private lakes with no wind condition and throw it out less than 50-75 feet. PLEASE fix the connection issue, as Ive read several other places where it is an issue. Thank you! Fish on!!!

App updated other day, went to open on the water, all I got was a black screen, then sent back to main iphone screen. If no longer supported for iphone 4 im returning my product. No point buying a new phone to use it.

This app doesnt work on Iphone 4 anymore. I hope they fix it.

Ive been using this fish finder for 2 months while kayak fishing. My small lake has about 45% coverage in pads and weeds. Deeper has helped pinpoint where the fish are hanging out. The depth, water temp, and fish alarm tell the story. Ive used both my iPhone as well as an older ipad2. Only problem to report is losing connection when my phone was at water level inside tackle box. Battery life seems good as Ive used it for two days about 6 hours total and there was still 1/2 left.

Does pretty much what its suppose to do, except display current weather. Please fix so I can use all functions.
